Realme has announced the launch of the Realme X2 Pro in china just a week ago and it set to be launched in India sometime in November and the global version may be available in November for Nigerians to purchase on online stores. The Realme X2 is said to be the total package of the previous Realme X series for the year 2019, making it the first flagship device by the Chinese company.

Realme X2 PRO features quite some interesting specifications which caught the eyes of phone lovers and is set to challenge mid-range devices launched by other manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi.

Realme X2 PRO is equipped with a large screen of 6.5-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate found on devices like Google Pixel 4 and OnePlus 7T and 7T PRO, it has a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080p with a teardrop notch display design that encapsulates the front camera. The phone will look quite long and slim on the palm with a screen to body ration of 91.7 percentage.

About the design, the device has a total of four cameras on the back with a weird logo position, never seen that before. It has a curved back design which is plastic made but looks really good on the hand, and a case might be needed as it attracts fingerprint on the back which will require constant cleaning and to cover the weird-looking logo position if you don’t like it.

The four-camera lens are; 64MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture which lets more light gets into the image lens for good image output, followed by a 13MP Telephoto camera which function is to take care of zooming in-out., the ultra-wide camera lens with up to 115-degree FOV which is almost on all budget device in 2019 and lastly, the 2MP depth-sensing lens to take care of the background/bokeh effect.

The power button is on the right with the cards slot, while the volume buttons are located on the other side. I would have really love to see a dedicated google assistant button, but not to worry, we have a gesture to call it up. One of the great things about the Realme X2 PRO is the USB Type C and the traditional 3.5mm audio port which has been ditched on almost all flagship devices in 2019.

I don’t know if you buy the idea of the in-display fingerprint because I don’t. There has been a problem lately with some of the devices with an in-display fingerprint sensor like Samsung S10 and Note 10 but the fix was announced a couple of hours ago. Realme X2 PRO features the in-display fingerprint and according to the manufacturer, it is said to be reliable and fast; 0.23s to unlock.

The performance was definitely upgraded. Users get a snapdragon 855+ with 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage and a big battery capacity of 4,000mAh with 50W super VOOC charging technology. Other features include Bluetooth v5.0, dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and lastly the USB 3.0 storage.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a smartphone that is not too expensive but great for photography, I am happy to announce that the Realme X2 PRO will get you covered. Stay tuned to our blog for the full review.
