The US and China trade war are not getting chilled but rather hot as the OEM files a lawsuit against a very popular US phone carrier, Verizon. Huawei filed two lawsuits against Verizon on the basis of patent violation or infringement.

Huawei has accused Verizon of owing it an amount of money which is disclosed at the moment for making use of its technology within its 12 held patent, and according to an article on androidpolice, both companies have held several meetings to negotiate in order to legally make use of these patents since last year, February 2019 but nothing came out of the negotiation which made Huawei filed a lawsuit against Verizon.

A representative from Verizon said in a statement;

“Huawei’s lawsuit filed overnight, in the very early morning, is nothing more than a PR stunt. This lawsuit is a sneak attack on our company and the entire tech ecosystem. Huawei’s real target is not Verizon; it is any country or company that defies it. The action lacks merit, and we look forward to vigorously defending ourselves.”

Huawei and Verizon are to meet in the court of law to settle it out and if Huawei happens to win the battle in court, Huawei will gain a lot since it has been struggling financially due to the ban; it will help the OEM with its reputation that is sliding out the window in the US and Huawei will receive lot of money that could help the company financially.
