The long awaiting camon 12 has been finally announced at the beginning of this month and it also the direct successor of the previously camon 11/11pro which was released last year.

As we all know the tecno camon is a series which has been attributed with best cameras, so sure we all expect a better camera experience, but this time that not all that will excite you about the device haven featured with the latest designs and a well-placed front flash.

Tecno Camon 12 Design

The camon 12 picks up similar trend which was already imbibed in the phantom 9 based on the look, the camon 12 features a gradient plastic material at the back which houses the camera, finger print and the company’s name.

On the front, tecno made use of a U-shaped notch design cut-out above the screen which houses the camera, with dual LED flash kept to either side of the screen which I think is a bit weird but still fine because it does not affect the device display.

Beneath the device is where will find the ear piece jack, the charging port and the gridded speaker, then the top part is empty with noting placed on it, volume key and the power button both placed at the right side of the device and the sim port and micro SD card port found at the left side. Just like every other new mobile device is design.

The device has been made available in there main colors which are: dark jade, sky cyan and dawn blue

The camon 12 sports a 6.52-inches IPS HD+ display, with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, and a 19.5:9 ratio, It uses the AMOLED display technology with a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. It also sports a Scratch Resistant Glass 2.5D Curved Glass. The display is quite good quality for phones within this price range.

For the back camera the tecno camon 12 sports an camon Al triple camera, which is shared at a ratio of 16:2:8 and each having it different purpose to guaranty good capture experience, the first having 16-megapixels which is surly the main camera, second with a 2-megapixel representing the depth sensor and the third with an 8-megapixel for ultra-wide angle lens.

Tecno camon 12 is powered by the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 CPU, along with PowerVR GE8322 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable up 256GB micro SD card.

The device quite fast in it response while in usage and made suitable for heave user, and for gamers the device has been provided with a game booster which helps to active no-disturbance when playing games either online or offline and also provided with a quick WhatsApp response which does not affect the gaming process.

Tecno Camon 12 has been boots an Android 9.0 pie based on HIOS 5.5, haven debuted as the first HIOS 5.5 for better control over the device.

The HIOS 5.5 has been provided with some application to help the use have better experience of the HIOS 5.5, and some could be uninstalled and some are not, not to worry the apps don’t take much of space in the RAM and there is an option to hide apps which are not need.

Tecno Camon 12 has been provided with a 4,000mAH which could last for at least 68hours standby, 28hours hours talk time, 19hours gaming period and 38hours music play which is quite encouraging unlike the phantom 9 which was provided with a 3,500mAh.

Based on the connectivity options the camon 12 has been boot with a 5.0 A2DP Bluetooth, the device supports OTG, a 2.0 micro USB, GPS and a Wi-Fi Direct with a hotspot.

    Tecno seriously needs to declare their long term relationship with MediaTek. They are doing really well and supporting next-gen Cam-ERA is something new and exciting to experience.
