OPPO has now partnered with Pointek and SLOT to bring us both its premium and budget smartphones, and to be honest, I fear it might start a battle with Tecno and Infinix in both budget and premium smartphone zone in Nigeria.

The release of its full-screen device; OPPO F11 and F11 PRO has broken the internet with a premium look, spectacular rear camera, mechanized front camera, flagship chip, and big memory.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO DESIGN AND DISPLAY

OPPO F11 is designed with a water-drop screen with thin bezels to the top, right, and left but a thick one to the bottom but it still manages to give it large screen display. F11 is designed in two exquisite colors; Fluorite purple and marble green.

I love the F11 PRO design, especially the Marvel Avenger’s limited edition with the avenger logo at the back making it look awesome. The F11 PRO features a great color combination; thunder black which uses a Nano printing method to display triple color gradient and aurora green which reflects beautifully with light and there is no notch, just full-screen.

Both models have a 3D curved back cover making it comfortable to hold and users might need a case cover as both devices feature a glass back which has 80% of slipping through the hand if not extra cautious.

The Marvel edition has a high-end glossy back finish which comes in blue color.

Oppo f11 and f11 pro design

OPPO F11 and F11 PRO feature a 6.5” inch water drop display with 2340 x 1080p display resolution at 394 PPI (pixel per inch) density for F11 and 397 PPI for F11 PRO, 16m colors, a screen to body ratio of 85%, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO CAMERA

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO sports a 48MP (primary lens) + 5MP (depth sense lens) super rear dual camera with a 6P lens with AI image processing which makes a night shot a bomb. The primary lens has an f/1.79 large aperture which allows more light into the image sensor for quality detailed pictures, while the secondary camera has an f/2.4 aperture.

The portrait and night mode are the selling point of both models and according to OPPO,

The 5MP has an in-depth analysis into face mapping and skin tone combined with an advanced algorithm which intelligently differentiates the portrait from the background while the AI engine and ultra-clear engine delivers user the perfect night shot by optimizing for image stabilization during a long exposure, in a low light environment and also helps in skin brightening.

OPPO F11 and F11 PRO feature a color engine with a special mapping curve which allows users to restore brightness and colors to shots.

To the front is a 16MP camera lens with f/2.0 aperture found inside the water drop of the F11 while the F11 PRO comes with a pop-up housing the 16MP camera lens with the same aperture as the F11 with features like beautification 2.1 and AI scene recognition.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO PERFORMANCE AND OS

Both devices are powered by Helio P70 which is the latest chip from MediaTek which is also found on ELEPHONE U2. The processor has a clock speed of 2.1GHz with a turbocharged performance. We have a 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage model of the F11, while the F11 PRO is equipped with just 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB.

OPPO F11 houses a 4,020mAh battery capacity while F11 PRO houses a 4,000mAh with VOOC flash charge which gets OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO juiced up in no time. The devices feature five different battery optimization technology to enhance battery life and heat dissipation which primary job is to keep the devices from overheating when watching videos, play games or surfing the web.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO are running on ColorOS v6 based on Android v9 Pie. The newly customized OS brings features like smart gesture, swipe up gesture navigation, smart riding mode, cloud services, and smart assistant.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO NETWORK AND CONNECTIVITY

The devices support dual SIM card (Nano type) and OTG. The user gets Bluetooth v4.2 is a minus for me because we the Bluetooth v5 already on flagship devices, they support 4G network, no NFC, and WLAN function include WLAN 2.4G / WLAN 5G.

OPPO F11 AND F11 PRO PRICE IN NIGERIA

OPPO F11 is sold for 80,000 Naira, while F11 PRO goes for 140,000 Naira with the Marvel edition.

I have been using F11 Pro since a long time now and I quite like its performance, gaming is smooth too. I never knew it had the latest mediatek helio p70… or how important a processor is for a smartphone!
