Opera free data: is giving out free data every day to its users who are using MTN and Airtel only. The free data covers for users of the Opera Mini and Opera News app and it is primarily aimed at improving their audience on the platforms. The update which was received by Naijatech360 says;

“Opera has once again partnered with MTN and Airtel in Nigeria to give you more free browsing with Opera News and Opera Mini.

If you are using the Airtel or MTN network, and you have the latest version of Opera News and Opera Mini installed on your mobile phone, then you are set to start browsing for free – up to 50MB every day!

What exactly is the free daily data deal?

If you are an Airtel or MTN user, you get free browsing and news on the Opera Mini and Opera News apps. The free browsing is capped daily at 50MB.

According to the update;

Free data is available for all Opera News users. If you are a new user you will automatically receive free browsing of 50MB per day.

How can I get the free daily data with Opera News?

If you are an Opera News or Opera Mini user, you automatically receive the free daily data with a limit of 50MB/day. Just open the app and start browsing to make use of the free data. The free daily data covers browsing only. Video streaming and file downloads are charged out of your normal data bundle.

Can I use the opera free data for other applications

According to the update;

The free browsing promotion applies exclusively to usage of Opera News and Opera Mini.

According to Opera team;

The data package does not include video streaming or downloading files from the internet. You will be charged out of your normal data bundle for this. However, the free browsing applies to browsing which means that you can access many websites in the browser and also enjoy the newsfeed on Opera News and Opera Mini.”
