Motorola has made a sudden announcement about the launch of their flagship in an upcoming event, and Motorola which is a sub-brand of the Chinese smartphone and computer maker, LENOVO, did actually made the announcement in 2019, December, during Qualcomm’s summit where the premium chipsets were launched.
Motorola really needs to top up its camera game using software like the way Google is doing, in order to make it to at least the top 8 with bands like Huawei, Samsung, apple, Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Google, and Vivo taking up the top 8 best smartphones currently.
Now that they have finally fixed a date, February 23, to launch their rumored smartphone which is to be their flagship, I guess it would be a big one because of the teasers, and according to the company’s president, Sergio Buniac, in a statement he made last year, he said the company will be releasing smartphones in 2020 early months and these phones will feature the fastest 5G network on QUALCOMM’s flagship platform.
The device is still blank as there are no particular features (leaks) of it that surfaced online, only the teaser image but, we should be expecting a premium chipset which is the Snapdragon 865 Soc. The device is rumored to be called “MOTO EDGE PLUS” and it might come in a stylus design just like Samsung Note devices as the renders show, but we don’t have any confirmation to that yet.
Motorola is to launch several other 5G phones with Qualcomm snapdragon 765 silicon which will be in the mid-range category. If you remember well, the RAZR foldable smartphone was the best foldable device of 2019 on the Naijatech360 list which will start shipping out in February too.
