Huawei has announced that the company will be experiencing the bad side of the US ban this year with a drastic drop in the sales of their smartphones which were not launched or shipped out before the ban. Huawei originally recorded smartphone sales of 240 million units but is now expected with a statistic to sell just 190 million to 200 million with the launch of new smartphones in the coming months.

As we all know that Huawei is the giant of smartphone and other tech equipment including their 5G network in China and they don’t need Google apps or store over, so they will retain their numbers in China and other countries like Arab nations that do not use Google apps as their daily drivers.

The launch of their proposed smartphone with the fastest 5G network is just by the corner and it is the Huawei P40 series, though the Lite version has been launched in Europe without Google apps and services. Huawei sold high numbers of their smartphones in Europe and China last year but it is for sure they will have a declined sale in Europe without Google service.

The US government have shown the Chinese OEM giant that they could limit and cause drastic sale falls with the ban by blocking them from transacting with any US company especially Google which is the biggest of all their partner. The Us government has therefore made it hard for Huawei to achieve its aim of becoming the number of all OEM’s and competing with the likes of the iPhone and Samsung might be a dead end with limited regions be served because of the lack of Google services.

What is the cause of the Huawei ban?

Well, the cause of the Huawei ban is not solid enough to cause a ban, the US government accused them of spying on its users in the United States for the Chinese government, but there was no public evidence to back up the claim.
